With Verbatim's latest range of printable media, you can achieve 'Perfection at your fingertips' thanks to the quality of the disc surface we produce. And not only will the discs look great, but with AZO technology, the data or audio stored to that disc will remain safe and of a high quality because AZO is the most stable and reliable recording dye in the market.
Our range of Glossy Printable products enable you to print your chosen image with a vivid and glossy sheen that looks just as good as a prhotograph !
Verbatim's printable products are available as both CD and DVD Recordable media and listings of the product part numbers can be found on the corresponding product pages. To be able to print onto a disc you will need a printer with this specific function. There are a variety of manufacturers and models already in the market that allow you to do this (such as the Epson R2XX & R3XX series)
Printable Media Printable media is all about printing graphics and images onto the disc surface. Imagine how professional your band's demo or compilation CD will look with a high quality photo or design printed on it. Or even how good it will be to save your holiday pictures to disc, and then to print your favourite image onto the surface as a clear and attractive way to identify the contents.
In terms of colour and contrast, the results from our printable media are as good as reproducing a photograph on the disc surface due to a truer, whiter surface. Hence why we name these products - 'Photo Printable'. A special ink is used that works at the optimum 'absorbency' level with all leading CD / DVD printers. his ink absorbs the printer ink at the perfect rate to ensure the graphics printed to it are crisp and clear with no colour bleeding. Also, with all photographic printing the faster the drying time, the better, which is why all of Verbatim's printable media are 'Fast Dry' meaning not only will we be saving you time, but they also reduce the chances of smudging and smearing too.
SUPER AZO EXPLAINED:

The Super Azo recording layer not only withstands the extremely high laser and rotation speeds of the new drives, it also maximises their performance. Verbatim has paid particular attention to the durability and light fastness of Super Azo; tests show that it is more stable than most recording dyes and the least affected by ultraviolet light.
The recording dye is critical to CD-R performance; its molecular structure must be designed to absorb the typical wavelength of a CD-R drive laser, which is around 780nm. The peak absorption wavelength needs to be optimised so that the disk is compatible with a wide range of recording speeds.
If the peak is too short, disk sensitivity is reduced, which causes high-speed recording problems; but if the wavelength peak is too long, this reduces the reflectivity of the recording layer and can creates read errors in many drives.
Super Azo offers high sensitivity for reliable high-speed recording and high reflectivity to eliminate read errors. The thinness of the recording layer is also critical. The thinner the layer, the higher its sensitivity and power margin, and the better its high-speed recording capabilities.
